Accellion breach exposed data from patients at major Michigan hospital system

On Friday, a major Michigan hospital system warned approximately 1,500 patients that their personal information may have been compromised as a result of a hack against filesharing provider Accellion.
In late January, the organisation launched a wave of extortion attempts against individuals, threatening to share their stolen data unless they paid up.
