Adobe Plugs Critical Security Holes in Illustrator, After Effects Software

Tuesday saw the security updates from software developer Adobe for at least a half-dozen bugs that left Windows and macOS users open to harmful hacker attempts. The Mountain View, California-based corporation issued a warning that Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects—three of its most popular software products—have security flaws. The Illustrator and After Effects updates have critical-severity ratings according to Adobe’s security warnings because to the possibility of code execution threats. According to the business, the Adobe Illustrator bug, identified as CVE-2022-23187, is a buffer overflow problem that can result in arbitrary code execution. Both Windows and macOS users using Illustrator 26.0.3 and previous versions are affected by the problem.
