An Overview of Malicious Activities in Q1; Telegram Bots in Spotlight

Cybercriminals are using Telegram bots more and more to start evasive and malicious activities. The Active Threat Reports (ATRs) for Q1 2023 contain this worry in addition to other identified hostile activity, according to the Cofense Intelligence team.
In the first three months of 2023, there were 310% more malicious email campaigns utilising Telegram bots than there were overall attacks in 2022. When compared to the same period last year, the amount of credential phishing attacks climbed dramatically by 527%, or over 40%.
