The Android security update for December 2022, which was released by Google, addresses four critical-severity flaws, one of which allows remote code execution through Bluetooth. Denial of service issues, remote code execution, information exposure, and issues with privilege elevation (EoP) make up the remaining patched vulnerabilities.
With patch level 2022-12-01, this month’s release fixes 45 vulnerabilities affecting core Android components, and patch level 2022-12-05 fixes 36 more vulnerabilities affecting third-party components. You are officially out of support if your device runs an earlier version of Android or doesn’t get the regular security updates anymore.
