Google is expected to follow Apple’s lead and impose privacy information conditions on developers who publish applications in its Play Store.
Developers will need to state what data is collected and processed, such as location, addresses, name, email address, and types of files stored; how the data is used, such as whether it affects app functionality or personalisation; which security practices, such as encryption, the app employs; and whether the app complies to Google’s families policy, according to the company’s blog post.
