Android's First Security Updates for 2023 Patch 60 Vulnerabilities

The first 2023 Android security patches were released by Google on Tuesday, and they fix a total of 60 vulnerabilities. The Framework and System components include 19 security flaws that are fixed in the first section of the update, which is installed on devices as the 2023-01-01 security patch level.
The Framework component has a high security vulnerability that, according to Google’s advisory, “may result in local escalation of privilege with no extra execution privileges needed,” making it the most serious of these problems.
