Given that Apple will not permit you to uninstall full-on system updates from your iPhones or iPads, even if you find that they actually cause problems and wish you hadn’t installed them in the first place, the last point made above is fairly significant.
This is so that customers can’t downgrade on purpose to reintroduce old bugs that they now know may be used to jailbreak devices or install a different operating system, even on devices that Apple no longer supports.
