Attackers exploit APIs faster than ever before

According to Wallarm, after sifting through 350,000 reports to identify 650 API-specific vulnerabilities from 337 different manufacturers and tracking 115 public exploits touching these vulnerabilities, the findings amply demonstrate how hazardous the API threat landscape is growing.
The number of assaults on Wallarm’s clients’ APIs skyrocketed by approximately 197% from H1 to H2 of 2022. It is obvious that this tendency is expanding beyond Wallarm customers and will continue to increase in 2023 as API-related breaches are making headlines today.
