BouldSpy’ Android Malware Used in Iranian Government Surveillance Operations

A piece of Android spyware that the Iranian government uses to track the trafficking of weapons, alcohol, and drugs as well as to keep an eye on the country’s minorities has been examined by mobile security company Lookout. The Islamic Republic of Iran’s (FARAJA) Law Enforcement Command is likely responsible for installing the spyware known as BouldSpy on victims’ devices by physically gaining access to their devices while they are being held.
