Browser Isolation Adapts to Remote Work, Greater Cloud Usage

As browsers take up more and more of a worker’s day, isolation solutions are now used to safeguard the larger company. As employees—especially remote employees—spend more time using their browsers to access cloud apps, browser isolation solutions are becoming more and more popular as a tool to secure businesses’ business processes.
The security method often entails connecting to a distant virtual machine that is running a proprietary browser or utilising a locally installed browser that has been upgraded for security. In the past, businesses used browser isolation sparingly, but with the development of remote work and the transition to cloud infrastructure, many employees now spend the majority of their workdays in the browser. According to a 2020 Forrester analysis sponsored by Google, the typical worker spends three-quarters of the workday in the browser or participating in virtual meetings.
