CAPTCHA-Breaking Services with Human Solvers Helping Cybercriminals Defeat Security

Cybersecurity experts issue a warning about CAPTCHA-breaking services that are being sold as a way to get around filters that separate human users from bot traffic. According to a survey released last week by Trend Micro, various services specifically targeted at this market demand have been developed since fraudsters are passionate about accurately defeating CAPTCHAs.
These CAPTCHA-solving services “do not use advanced machine learning techniques or [optical character recognition] techniques; instead, they farm out CAPTCHA-breaking tasks to actual human solvers.”
