Chrome 109 Patches 17 Vulnerabilities

Google released Chrome 109 in the stable channel on Tuesday, patching 17 vulnerabilities, including 14 issues that were discovered by outside researchers. Only two of the security holes that were reported from the outside are considered to be of “high severity,” the most being medium- and low-severity flaws.

These include a memory buffer overflow bug in Network Service and a use-after-free problem in Overview Mode (CVE-2023-0128) (CVE-2023-0129). According to Google, these vulnerabilities each received bug bounties of $4,000 and $2,000, respectively.
