Chrome 113 Released With 15 Security Patches

03-May-23

The stable channel of Chrome 113 has been released by Google this week with 15 security fixes, including patches for 10 vulnerabilities that were discovered by outside researchers. The most recent Chrome update, despite the significant version upgrade, only fixes medium- and low-severity problems, and it was only released a little over two weeks after Google fixed two zero-day vulnerabilities in the well-known browser.

The internet company gave out over $30,000 in bug bounty incentives to the researchers who discovered the problems, even though none of them were considered to be significant, according to its advice. The medium-severity unsuitable implementation error in Prompts received the highest award. Rong Jian received $7,500 for bringing this CVE-2023-2459 vulnerability to his attention.
