Cyber Info-Sharing Guide for Healthcare Sector Updated

For more than a decade, the federal government of the United States has evangelized information exchange within critical infrastructure sectors as a defense against hacking. Information exchange must go beyond signs of compromise and attack methods, techniques, and procedures, according to two organizations created to facilitate closer collaboration with the government and the health sector.



According to the advice, which was released on August 22, traditional signs are essential for proactively reducing threats. Nevertheless, “modern cyber security programs are expanding the scope of information sharing by including threat defender and defense content and resources.” This updated version of the Health Industry Cybersecurity Information Sharing Best Practices guidance replaces one that was first released in March 2020 by the HSCC and H-ISAC.
