Cyber resilience starts in the C-suite

In many cases, senior executives/line-of-business leaders are only marginally involved in their company’s cyber readiness programs – according to Commvault, only 33% of CEOs or managing directors and 21% of other senior leaders are heavily involved. According to the study, 52% of senior executives are not involved in their company’s cyber incidents.
Aside from a lack of leadership engagement, there is frequently uncertainty between ITOps and SecOps teams over who is doing what in terms of cyber readiness. Only 30% of SecOps teams completely comprehend ITOps’ tasks and responsibilities for cyber preparedness and response, while only 29% of ITOps teams comprehend what falls to SecOps.
