Cybersecurity Study Reveals Web App Vulnerability Crisis

The State of External Exposure Management study from CyCognito, released semi-annually, revealed a disturbing landscape of online risks that span public cloud, mobile, and web platforms. The thorough examination of 3.5 million assets, including Fortune 500 companies, reveals the fragile status of data protection.
According to the survey, a considerable 74% of assets containing personally identifiable information (PII) are vulnerable to well-known serious attacks. The analysis also reveals that one in ten of these assets has holes that could be quickly exploited, raising concerns about data privacy and security.
