On some Windows 11 systems, the cumulative update KB5033375 that was made available during the December 2023 Patch Tuesday creates problems with Wi-Fi connectivity.
In addition to an overwhelming volume of user reports on Twitter, Reddit, and Microsoft’s community page, a number of academic institutions have sent cautions advising students to remove the KB5033375 update.For example, according to an incident report from the University of British Columbia, “This issue affects enterprise wireless networks, but does not affect home wireless/internet usage.“Customer reports indicate that this problem affects business wireless networks that have fast-transition/fast-roaming turned on to enable smooth device switching between wireless access points.
