Document Exploiting New Microsoft Office Zero-Day Seen in the Wild

After discovering what looks to be a new Microsoft Office zero-day vulnerability that has been exploited in the field, security researchers have issued a warning.
On Twitter, a researcher going by the handle “nao sec” reported finding an interesting dangerous document on the VirusTotal malware scanning site. When opened, the malicious Word file, which was uploaded from Belarus, is meant to run arbitrary PowerShell code. Read More…
