The new macOS ransomware Turtle, which targets Apple computers, was examined by well-known cybersecurity expert Patrick Wardle.
The well-known cyber security expert Patrick Wardle released a thorough examination of the recently discovered macOS malware, Turtle.
Wardle noted that Turtle was classified as harmful by 24 anti-malware programs after it was submitted to Virus Total, indicating that it is not a very complex threat. However, “Other:Malware-gen,” “Trojan.Generic,” or “Possible Threat” were typically used to identify the dangerous code. The binary was occasionally tagged as Windows malware (“Win32.Troj.Undef”) by the anti-virus program.
