FBI director urges private sector to work with the agency on cyber threats

Wray stated that many of the agency’s recent successful cyber operations were carried out with the aid of private sector partners to the audience at Mandiant’s annual mWISE 2023 conference. He made a point of saying that the organization will be treated fairly as the victims of bad behavior and would not be penalised for their collaboration.
Wray told conference attendees, “We won’t be showing up in raid jackets when you contact us about an incursion. We recognize the private sector hasn’t always been enthused about dealing with federal law enforcement. Instead, we will treat you as the victims you are, as we do with all other crime victims.
