Google patches critical RCE bug in Chrome browser

A significant remote code execution flaw in Google’s Chrome web browser was patched on Wednesday, preventing an attacker from infecting a victim’s computer with malware by tricking them into visiting a rogue website. Google fixed six high-severity issues, one of which was nearly a year old, as part of the security update it released for the Chrome browser in February.
The patches will be distributed to the almost 2.65 billion desktop computers running Windows, macOS, and Linux. Versions 110.0.5481.177 and 110.0.5481.177/.178 of the “stable channel desktop updates” are available for Mac, Linux, and Windows, respectively.
