The beta version of Privacy Sandbox for Android is now available to eligible mobile devices running Android 13 according to a Tuesday announcement from Google.
According to the search and advertising behemoth, “The Privacy Sandbox Beta delivers new APIs that are designed with privacy at the heart and don’t employ identifiers that can track your activities across applications and websites.” These APIs can be used by apps that decide to take part in the beta to display you appropriate adverts and assess their efficacy.
Users will be able to regulate their participation as well as monitor and modify their top interests as indicated by the Topics API to offer relevant adverts on devices that have been chosen for the Beta test. These devices will have a Privacy Sandbox area under the Settings menu.
