A new malware campaign is targeting Android users in India and offering malware-as-a-service (MaaS). Broadcom reported that the campaign is distributing malicious APK packages and attempting to extract sensitive information like banking details and SMS messages from victims’ devices. The campaign is disguised as helpful apps such as customer support services, online bookings, billing, and courier services. Android users in the affected regions can safeguard themselves by downloading applications only from trusted sources, using security software, and keeping themselves updated about potential threats that could jeopardize their devices.
