Imperva Thwarts 2.5 Million RPS Ransom DDoS Extortion Attacks

Imperva, a cybersecurity company, announced on Friday that it recently neutralised a ransom distributed denial of service (DDoS) assault against an undisclosed website that peaked at 2.5 million requests per second.
While ransom DDoS assaults are not new, they appear to be changing and getting more intriguing with time and with each new phase examples where the ransom note is contained in the attack itself incorporated in a URL request
