Renowned US-based healthcare equipment maker LivaNova PLC, which specializes in cardiopulmonary and neuromodulation devices, has reportedly been the target of a malevolent hack carried out by the infamous LockBit ransomware organization. On December 9, 2023, the LivaNova data breach assault was discovered, and the same day, the details were released to the public.
A well-known threat actor on the dark web forums, the LockBit ransomware gang, asserts that it has successfully infiltrated LivaNova’s systems and is accountable for the compromise of an astounding 2.2 gigabytes of critical data.
