Nearly half of the security issues affecting Google Cloud customers involved weak passwords. Nation-state and criminal hackers have one trait when it comes to utilising cloud technologies to attack customers: they both enjoy focusing on weak passwords.
According to a research produced by the firm on Thursday and first shared with CyberScoop, weak passwords continue to be the main cause of security breaches for Google Cloud users, with weak passwords accounting for close to half of the occurrences affecting its clients.
