Newly Discovered ZenRAT Malware Targets Windows Users

A brand-new malware variant named ZenRAT has materialized in the wild and is designed to steal data from Windows systems. The precise method of disseminating these dangers is still unknown, although in the past, malspam campaigns, adware packages, and SEO poisoning have all been used. When accessed from Windows systems, the website tricked users into installing a phony version of Bitwarden.
ZenRAT, according to Proofpoint researchers, was first identified on a website that claimed to be related to the free password manager Bitwarden. Users of operating systems other than Windows who accessed the fake website were sent to a copy of an opensource[.]com article from March 2018.
