OpenSubtitles data breach: Users asked to re-secure accounts after plaintext password snafu

After sending users their passwords in plaintext, the TV and movie intertitles website OpenSubtitles has directed them to resecure their accounts.
The website, that also allows users to install closed captions for their favourite movies in a variety of languages, suffered a data breach in August 2021, when an unknown hacker gets access via a SQL injection attack.
