Operational technology (OT) and internet of things (IoT) networks may be vulnerable to remote assaults due to more than a dozen security holes found in baseboard management controller (BMC) firmware from Lanner.
The term “BMC” refers to a system-on-chip (SoC) that is utilised in server motherboards as a specialised service processor and is used for remote monitoring and management of a host system, including carrying out low-level system activities like firmware flashing and power control.
