The organisation intends to develop a digital insignia that would warn potential attackers that they had accessed computer systems of the Red Cross or healthcare facilities as wars and attacks increasingly shift into cyberspace. Recognizable red-on-white badges worn by Red Cross workers in conflict areas serve as a warning to any potential attackers that they are there to aid, too.
