Researchers Share New Insights Into RIG Exploit Kit Malware's Operations

According to recent research, the RIG exploit kit’s (EK) successful exploitation rate reached an all-time high of about 30% in 2022. Swiss cybersecurity firm PRODAFT stated in a thorough analysis sent to The Hacker News that “RIG EK is a financially-motivated malware that has been active since 2014.”
“The kind and version of the malware they disseminate are continually changing, despite the fact that it hasn’t significantly changed its exploits in its most recent activity. Samples are updated anywhere between once a week and once a day.”
