Singapore and the United States have agreed to collaborate in combating internet frauds, which are increasing in volume on both sides and causing huge losses. The Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore and the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cross-border efforts to combat unwanted and unlawful communications, including scams.
The two government agencies will collaborate on regulatory enforcement efforts relating to scams, as well as exchange information in areas such as regulatory frameworks and technology and policy solutions relating to unsolicited and unlawful communications in Singapore and the United States.
