Small organizations outpace large enterprises in MFA adoption

According to Okta, phishing-resistant authenticators are the greatest option in terms of security and user ease, and the adoption of MFA has almost doubled since 2020. Due in large part to its essential role in reducing cybersecurity threats, MFA authentication has progressively gained popularity across organisations and industries. Adoption was also influenced by outside factors like the COVID-19 epidemic and well reported cyberattacks.
MFA adds an additional layer of security on top of passwords and other credentials that are extremely vulnerable to exploitation. Theft of usernames and passwords is the cause of more than 80% of corporate web application assaults and around 50% of business email breach incidents.
