Researchers from ESET have found Deadglyph, a powerful backdoor that the famed Stealth Falcon gang utilized for Middle Eastern espionage. The Middle East has consistently upheld its status as a favorable environment for advanced persistent threats (APTs).
ESET Research discovered a highly developed and unidentified backdoor that we have termed Deadglyph while conducting routine monitoring of suspicious actions on the systems of high-profile clients, some of whom were headquartered in this area. The term was generated from artifacts discovered in the backdoor and a homoglyph assault.
