Two years on Apple iOS VPNs still leak IP addresses

There is currently no indication that Apple will address a VPN bypass vulnerability in iOS that has existed for at least two years and revealed identifying IP traffic data.
Apple’s iOS version 13.3.1 has a bug that prohibited VPNs from encrypting all traffic back in early 2020, according to secure mail service ProtonVPN. The operating system wasn’t doing its job of shutting down active connections, which caused the problem. Read More…
