According to the Coalition’s most recent Cyber Threat Index 2023, the average number of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) will increase from 1,900 per month in 2022 to over 1,900 in 2023, a 13% increase. Every month, thousands of patches and updates are produced, and organisations struggle to manage these fixes.
A brief disclaimer first. Plan appropriately because effective patch management depends on essential elements such organisation size, complexity of IT environment, criticality of systems, and number of resources provided to handle it all.
