The majority of attacks (52% of all attacks) were UDP flood attacks, whereas 24% of all attacks were SYN flood. TCP Flood came in third place.
Gaming, telecom, and finance companies are the most frequently attacked industries. In Q2/Q3, the longest attack lasted seven days, sixteen hours, and twenty-two minutes. The majority of attacks lasted within four hours. The worrying 50–100% annual growth in DDoS attack volume reveals the increasing expertise and use of more potent technologies by cybercriminals.
