Google to Pay Indiana $20 Million to Resolve Privacy Suit

Todd Rokita, Indiana’s attorney general, stated that Google would make a $20 million payment to end the state’s legal dispute with the internet giant over allegedly misleading location tracking tactics. When talks between Google and a group of state attorneys general faltered, Rokitas, he claimed, filed a different lawsuit against the search giant.
A $391.5 million settlement between those states and the business was reached in November. According to the related lawsuit, Indiana received roughly twice as much money as it would have under the agreement with the 40 states in the coalition, according to Rokita’s declaration on Thursday.
