U.S. DoJ Dismantles Warzone RAT Infrastructure, Arrests Key Operators

The U.S. Justice Department has dismantled the infrastructure of the Warzone RAT (Remote Access Trojan), seizing domains used for selling the malware. Two individuals, Daniel Meli and Prince Onyeoziri Odinakachi, have been arrested and indicted for their involvement in selling and supporting the malware. Warzone RAT, also known as Ave Maria, was sold under the malware-as-a-service model and used for information stealing and remote control, with notable features such as taking screenshots, recording keystrokes, and activating webcams without consent. The operation involved international law enforcement collaboration with authorities from various countries.
